Use tab key in Power Automate

Most of the Power Automate UI can be done by mouse only. But moving mouse is not always consistent. Try using the keyboard at the same time to save some time. Use of Tab key and enter or spacebar key would work as input.

 

Flow Action menu

1. Click the ellipsis using the mouse. You can press “Esc” to close the quick menu.
2. When the quick menu shows up, press the “Tab” key on your keyboard. It will select the next item. The selected item will be highlighted with a border around the button. Press “Tab” again to get to “Rename”.
3. Press either the spacebar or the Enter (return) key to select the “Rename” button. I prefer the spacebar as I can press it easily with my left hand.
4. Action will go to the rename mode. Change the name as needed. Enter or click away from rename or add note will save the change.
5. The common menu that I use is “Rename”,” Add a note”, and “Delete.” Tab selects the next item. Shift + Tab will go to the previous item which is good for “Delete”.
6. In the “Delete Step” popup, Spacebar or Enter will click “OK” and delete the action. Esc will select “Cancel”.
