Create a custom windows install USB

 

1.       Boot from Light touch

2.       Select reference task sequence

3.       Select an Application to install.

4.       Select Prepare to capture the machine or do nothing.

5.       Wait until boot the windows. It might take 1 hour.

6.       Check the installation of programs including MS office and MS update.

7.       Run SysPrep with PowerShell command

8.       Check the created WIM image file in host machine.

9.       Put WIM file and unattended.ini file to USB

10.   Boot from USB

 

Install using custom WIM

1.       Make USB bootable

What I know

1.       You need to install ADK10 and MDT.

2.       You need Windows 10 iso file, VMware, applications to install.

3.       Automation of install process is done by unattended.ini file.

4.       To change setting, you need to go MDT and change the roles.
