Motorcycle foot peg fix

Last72 2018. 9. 14. 19:41

One day, I was about to go riding with my friend and suddenly found that there is no rear right foot peg. Probable rusted and loosen because of vibration.

And that bolt hold muffler as well, the muffler shakes whenever I run over something. It needs to be fixed ASAP.

My solution was going to Bunnings. I thought if I buy just screw and nuts, it will be super cheap. With some wood or rubber for cover with it would be best, but not necessary.

With motorcycle, getting somewhere is so easy.

M10 diameter (10 mm) galvanised (Galv, in short) hex head bolt. $2.27.

M10 diameter (10 mm) galvanised (Galv, in short) nut. $0.28 each.

It costs only $3.11. If I went to bike shop to fix it, tt will cost much more than that.

Left one is rear foot peg I took off from my bike and one on the right is DIY foot peg. The bolt doesn't have fully covered screw line, so I bought 3 nuts to hold tight.

Screw 2 at the back, 1 at the front. It was nice and tightly screwed. The muffler is stable as well.
