Broken motorcycle key berral

The key only goes half-way through. See the photo. I rode bike on 17/07/2019 and the next morning the berral was not working.

 

The key won't go fully

Number of tries

1. I tried to insert with little wiggle and force but didn't worked. (17/07/2019)

2. Try to rublicate the lock with graphite but no luck either. (18/07/2019)

3. Called a motorcycle mecanics but he could not fix it and the lock needs to be replaced. (19/07/2019)

4. I disassembled the handle and tried to remove top part but it didn't go out as the lock was in place. (22/07/2019)

5. Go to Kawasaki service centre and order new parts. (22/07/2019)

6. The parts has arrived and they will pickup the bike. (09/08/2019)

7. They try to pickup the bike but the stearing was locked and they could not do that. (15/08/2019)

8. Go to the shop and pickup the ignition lock. (17/08/2019)

9. Scheduled mobile mecanics for replacement. (18/08/2019)

10. Ignition replaced and working. (22/08/2019)

 

Expected cost

The replacement lock and key: $209.95

Replacemnet of key berral: around $180

Delivery to Service centre: $40

 

 

Actual cost

The replacement lock and key: $206.8

 

After the berral replacement, I need to bring two keys. One for ignition and one for fuel tank and seat.

Someone might have tried to steal it but end it up breaking the berral.

 

Both handle bar was removed but I could not get the top parts out.

A month without a bike (17/07/2019 - 21/08/2019)

Without my main transport, options are walk, bus, or bicycle. When I was not working, stayed home if not necessary. To go to work, took bus or walk there. Not too bad/

 

After I get my bike (22/08/2019)

Adjust trottle grip and adjust clutch lever before go to test ride. Riding motorcycle was great as usual but came back as it was raining and dark. No problem in motorcycle or riding skill whatsoever.
